The 2021 Legacy Public Speaking Competition was held in the school library during Education Week. Students from each stage were competing for prizes and were invited to speak on any subject relating to the ideals of voluntary service, social justice, caring, personal effort, personal sacrifice and/or mateship. The student body presented a diverse range of speeches; from climate change to equality, to apathy. The event was sponsored by the Port Macquarie Hasting Legacy Club, with funds from the Leventhal Legacy Scholarship. Chris McGeoch, President from Port Macquarie Hasting Legacy Club, assisted Mrs McGufficke and Mrs Graham on the judging panel. The school would like to thank the Port Macquarie Hasting Legacy Club for their ongoing support. Winners were Spencer, Annabelle and Tyler. Runners up were Lucy, Dean, and Gretchen. Congratulations to these students and all who participated.
