The Wauchope High School difference

A strong start

Our school welcomes all students from all backgrounds. We help every child feel safe, included and ready to learn from their very first day.

Growth in the classroom and beyond

We offer our students a wide range of subjects and opportunities. This empowers them to learn, develop skills, and discover their passions.

Support for every family

Our teachers and learning and wellbeing support teams work with our families. We co-design plans that help students learn in the way that works best for them.

Principal's message

At Wauchope High School, there is a shared commitment to ensuring every student is known, supported and inspired to succeed. As a school community, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to experience success and to leave school with the confidence, skills and character to lead a purposeful and fulfilling life.

I believe strongly that our role in education is to forge pathways for all students to experience success and to build lives grounded in respect, resilience, responsibility and positive contribution to their community. This moral purpose underpins our direction and shapes the work we do each day.

We hold high expectations for all students because we believe in their potential. Success at Wauchope High School is not defined by a single pathway - it is reflected in growth, effort and achievement across academic, vocational and personal pursuits. Through high-quality teaching, clear expectations and a strong focus on learning, students are supported to continually improve and to prepare for life beyond school.

We value the trust placed in us by parents and carers and recognise that the best outcomes are achieved when students, staff and families work together. Our connections with the wider community further enrich opportunities for students and strengthen their sense of belonging, particularly through our strong ties to the Wauchope community and the broader Macleay Valley, where local partnerships, industry connections and community pride play an important role in shaping our students’ futures.

I am proud to lead a school focused on continuous improvement. We are building a culture grounded in high expectations, trust, continual growth, clarity and consistency, where every decision is guided by what is best for our students.
