University of Sydney WPO

Widening Participation and Outreach (WPO) at the University of Sydney aims to increase access and participation in higher education for young people from regional and remote areas. The aim of the program is to enhance learning potential, build academic capacity and spark student interest in opportunities that they might not yet realise university can offer them. 

In 2019, the WPO invited students from Wauchope High School to engage in on-campus experiences at the University of Sydney. The aim of the program is for students to realise their potential through higher education. Shannah and Jessie participated in the three day program at the University of Sydney.
